Sir Syed Model School & College is situated in the heart of the city at West Circular Road opposite Govt. Girls Post Graduate College Haripur. The foundation of Sir Syed Model School & College was laid in 1984 at primary level.

Later on, by the grace of Allah (Almighty) and the efforts of Professor Taj Muhammad Karim (Late), it was upgraded to High School and then to intermediate (College) level in a few years. The governing bodies of the institution are well educated at both the campuses. They have a strong mutual coordination with each other in order to provide quality education to both the genders i.e. male and female. Similarly, there is a separate and full-fledged teaching faculty for both the campuses.

The founder of Sir Syed Model School & College, Professor Taj Muhammad Karim (Late) developed the institution at competitive level through his consistent efforts and hard work. Presently, the institutional heads of both the campuses are working under the kind guidance of Managing Director Mr. Nasir Taj who is a foreign qualified educationist with great leadership skills. Mr. Nasir Taj is the son of Professor Taj Muhammad Karim (Late) who is governing the institution with great devotion and commitment. He has also got an expertise in educational management and supervision.
